This is a  medium roast coffee from India that has been exposed to the monsoon season. In doing so, the coffee becomes incredibly mellow and is the lowest acid coffee we have. The roast bring out mellow earthiness and, to me, a BIG peanut butter flavor.

India Monsoon Malabar in Alaska

My cousin is a local in the area where Maniac Coffee is located. She told me a bit of the back story of the India Monsoon Malabar bean and how it can only be roasted naturally during a specific time of year in India. I ordered a pound to use with my French press and I love the smooth but strong aroma and flavor I got from this bean. This will likely be my preferred winter coffee. Enjoy some!
